Maybe I've just been in the dark, but I just found out that Eric Bischoff has a book coming out in October.
Now I have enjoyed many of the books that have been written, some moreso than any of the shoot interviews I have watched. Thing is, I am somewhat intrigued by what his story is. I don't know the man personally or hold a grudge against him however I am not fond of some things he has done, but then again I can say the same for Vince McMahon. No matter what you think of him, he does have an interesting story.
Granted, the book could just be just self promotion or worked words, but do any of you feel the same as I do?

Bischoff probably has a lot to say. I tend to agree with your point of view. I didn't like some of the things he did, i.e. poor treatment of Ric Flair, inability to push young talent (Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio,), David Arquette winning world title, building a wrestling company by merely spending Ted Turner's money. BUt then on the other hand he beat McMahon in the ratings 80 straight weeks. And he was smart enough to turn Hulk Hogan into a heel. I think given who Bischoff was in the industry from 1996-2000 his book should be worth reading. Self promotion or not, he may say some things we haven't heard before and give if nothing else an interesting point of view.

I dont mean to wee on anyone's parade, but eric bischoff should write a book on what not to do in wrestling.
Sure, no question the NWO angle was HOT, but he has never been a match for Vince McMahon. Eighty weeks of beating Raw, yes major accomplishment...Turners money went far. But when it started taking more than money, when the WWF kicked it up a notch, when it came time for the wonder boy to prove he was more than Buster Douglas, he melted and took everybody down with him.
Hindsight is 20/20 of course, but it didnt take a genius to see even at WCW's height, there were cracks in the walls.
I'd value what he has to say right up there with Vince Russo, which is far behind just about anybody else in wrestling. I still think Verne Gagne's lawn needs mowed if Bischoff needs work.
