I got a huge laugh out of that. I've heard Tony doesn't talk much about his former days announcing wrestling. Did WCW turn him totally sour on the business? If so, can't say I blame him. I thought he had a great radio and tv voice. He called some great matches during the glory days of JCP NWA Wrestling in the 80's.

I always thought Tony had a good voice, and back in the 80's TBS heyday he was a riot playing straight man to all the shenanigans and put downs of Flair & Cornette etc. As a play-by-play man he sure did suck. Well - not necessarily 'suck', but I always felt like he didn't really 'get' the psychology of wrestling matches, and didn't really understand what was going on - like it was all meaningless interchangeble moves and holds until some big incident occured....
