"The Final Encounter" was probably the best pre-ppv supercard ever...bar none. When a wrestling show causes a traffic jam on a major highway, that's saying something.

It was only the last few years that the Charlotte cards on Christmas night were tv tapings. Before that, Christmas night in Charlotte was as much of a tradition as the Thanksgiving shows in Greensboro were. For many years it could almost be counted on that Charlotte would always get a cage match on Christmas night. You just cant explain to people who werent there what the territory days were like where shows made sense and there was logical build up that made you care and guys who busted their bust in the ring. Oh to go back
