Oh, hang on - there seems to be some weird part of this thread where people were saying ''FACT'' blah blah blah. I wasn't taking part in that. I was referring to the original Ironton Tribune story where it was said:
''Szatkowski was driving a car and stopped for speeding. The troopers smelled marijuana....etc''
That just suggests that someone (maybe Rob, maybe Sabu, maybe the freakin' tooth fairy) had been smoking pot either whilst the car was in motion, or before getting into the car. In order to be charged with DUI, Rob would have to have been intoxicated to DUI levels (iirc correctly there is a test for checking this, maybe the same breathalyzer test used for drunk drivers) - maybe he wasn't, and therefore no DUI was served....for example: they may have had a smoke before beginning their journey and the smell was still apparent, which alerted the troopers to the possibility of narcotics. Or maybe they smelt the heady, musty goodness of the fresh greens Szatkowski had in his glove box....
Any other suggestions as to what ''The troopers smelled marijuana'' means is just hearsay and conjecture....
I for one personally think that RVD was smoking a big fat juicy reefer whilst speeding down the highway....

OK, you can think that, but I don't think there is any way he'd get out of a DUI if he were the least bit stoned, and I'm betting RVD gets the good stuff that one can smell across a room, let alone a car. People who smoke a lot don't realize how much the scent gets into everything. You can't bretholize weed, but there are tests that can check the reaction of your eyes that are admissable. No matter who you are, or how much you smoke, the eyes give it away.

i'm with sittingstill. i would bet the farm they were baked..or getting that way. ;D anyway it's over, the punishment has been dealt by the hyprocritical devil mcmahon and life goes on for them with just a slap on the wrist. wondering if rvd was getting baked is like wondering if stone cold belts a few back while driving. rvd will be back in a month and sabu just got fined. no way mcmahon could afford to lose top talent like that at this critical stage of ecw's development.

Normal folks like us would be fired, no questions asked. These two are incredibly stupid to get themselves into this situation. Maybe that's why it took RVD five years to get a World title run ?
