back in the early '80's (when i had no money or a car much less anyone take me to any shows) i was always mindboggled by all the WWF stars that were brought in for the different tournaments that JCP had or special matches like if the guy was a bounty hunter and such. whether it was the series of "cadillac tournaments" , the US title, or the NWA world tag, there was usually one or more guest shots from WWF regulars. the ones that come to mind are, angelo mosca, pat petterson, and the samoans. i seem to recall andre the giant being shown from WWF tv too. they usually showed a match from WWF tv to highlight the incoming star. who all am i misssing out here?
they did some this with florida stars too. i remember seeing the briscos be shown with a match from CWF just before they came in for the world tag tournament in '82. didn't they show barry windham before he came in '84?
i know that many tapes were brought in from other areas with interviews of other guys from other territories, but it seems that florida and WWF had the most so i figured there was some big working arrangement between the two groups and JCP.

I'm sure they traded with many promotions. Maybe guys from other areas where not working as many cards as they did in MACW? The AWA did not put on as many cards. Maybe they could pick up extra money? Many of the "supercards" did have guests. Guys like Flair and Mulligan did guests shots in Georgia and Texas. I always thought "guests" worked big cards to beef up the card but also because they could fly in and out easy. It would not make sense to bring someone like Andre in for one night and drive him 2-300 miles for some small show. The NWA champ was a guests and he worked big shows due to getting 10% of the gate. Then again if you had the champ for a week, you may work him in a small show if that was the only show running.

Vince McMahon Sr. was on the NWA Board of Directors back in the day while running the WWWF and then WWF. This working relationship with the NWA was probably why the WWF loaned talent to MACW, which was a member of the NWA.

There were rumors that at "one time" Vince Sr. and Eddie Graham were going to make a run at the entire Eastern/Atlantic coast. At least this was proposed from what I can recall. Where's CM when you need him?
It's also well known that Jim Crockett had designs on his vision of the NWA as early as the late 70's and definatley by the early 1980's. Why Crockett didn't aquire TBS(83-84), I don't know.

Vince Sr., Jim Crockett, Eddie Graham, Jim Barnett, Sam Muchnick and the rest of the NWA "crew" swapped talent all of the time. Look at how many times Andre came to the Carolinas, or Dusty went up to the Garden. It was good for business ($$$) and also helped to make it hard for anyone outside of that NWA group to do any business anywhere.
Once Vince Jr. took over, that all went by the wayside and everyone went out of business.
