Maybe someone can help me here. I am not trying to take anything away from what the Bengals have done this year, but I have to wonder If the Bengals loose Sunday and the Steelers win they will have identical records, both at home and away. They both won on the others field. So how is it possible that the Bengals won the division 2 weeks ago?

Ah, my area of expertise. Cincinnati wins because it has a better division record (5-1 to Pittsburgh's 4-2). Steelers can blame that on the 16-13 loss at Baltimore in November. Cincinnati's last 3 games was against non-division opponents, so there was no way Pittsburgh was catching them in that category, which is the second tiebreaker after head-to-head.
I'm a freaking NFL guru when it comes to playoff scenarios.
