BILL ---- awesome pics!! I wish a legends convention would come to the Chicago area! In your pics Bret looks smaller like he lost alot of muscle mass. Could you tell standing next to him? I used to drive Owen in my car when he wrestled in Chicago. Almost got to drive Bret once!! ---- Doug Meyers

dmeyers, I actually thought Bret looked smaller even last yr. when I met him, altho that was my first time actually meeting him close-up. I bet Owen's passing was really hard on you then, what did you guys talkabout? I miss Owen a lot even now still.

Owen was always nice to me! He had me go down to the hotel restaurant and get him food if he did'nt want to be bothered. He liked to pull the emergency brake on my old car while we were going down the road! It was broken so the car did'nt stop, but the red light came on. He thought it was funny to freak me out by doing that. We talked alot about the gym and stuff but he most enjoyed talking about his wife and kids. I miss him. Its a shame what happened to him. -- Doug Meyers

Doug, well, it has always been said that Owen was a ribber, lol...guess he got you too! BTW, did you ever get any pix of him back from then?

No, I dont think so. Even though I was really a mark Owen liked me because I didnt act like one around him. I tried not to ask many wrestling related questions, take pics, ask for autographs, ect. He told me it was nice to hang out with someone without being hassled. He could have been my neighbor he was so nice and easy to get along with! ----- Doug Meyers
