I think this is a fair complaint because it was mentioned and then scrapped as soon as it started. The idea for the Q&As was that according to our numbers we would enter the room. It basically became "hangout in the hallway all night until we let people in and you can all sit up front". This was annoying because we didn't bother to line up (like during the autograph signings) because we were under the impression that it wouldn't help anyway because numbers determined when you entered... I'd rather have assigned seating again next year to avoid all the chaos and "seat holding"

I very much agree with this...I ended up right about where I should have been anyway, but if I would have been in the very back, I would have been disappointed.
Even though I wasn't there, it sounds like the "numbers on the seats" method worked better last year.

Both Friday and Saturday nights at 6:45, I tried using the previously discussed number system -- allowing folks to enter the Q&As by VIP number. The only problem, out of the first 1-50, 1-80 or so, only a handful were there. I tried to make this work.
But knowing the Q&As were to start at 7 and everyone had been told we were opening the doors at 6:45, I wasn't going to hold EVERYONE waiting on those that chose to show up later than 6:45. Again, I did make an honest effort both nights to let folks enter by VIP number. It just didn't work.
Next year, we can go back to the numbered seats, and I'm open to suggestions if anyone has a better way of approaching this.
Thanks,
Greg

We were there in that area we just weren't lined up.

Any general admission event I have ever been to, from graduations to big concerts, seat holding or saving was always an issue. Sometimes it affected me and sometimes not but I despise seat saving.
