Ricky Morton will not be at fanfest

Calm down people, at least he informed Greg ahead of time and Greg is a stand-up promoter & announced it right away. That's much better than him no-showing and Sunday morning word goes around, "oh, he worked a double shot in TN".

I'm kinda upset about this as well. But, it's better to know now then showing up at the show and finding out then.

Of course Ricky is going to pass the buck, do you think the other 29 people didn't get tickets? Ricky is trying not to look bad and make it out that he is the good guy. I liked Greg's comment about have a nice life. I think Ricky has burned a lot of bridges with this move. I hope word gets back to him about how many people he pissed off. I wouldn't give him one dime of my money now or go out of my way to go to anything he is involved with.

I just talked to a friend who books Ricky Morton, and Ricky told him that the reason he wont be at fanfest is that he wasnt sent a plane ticket, and had no plans to drive all the way to MD.

Lame. Greg is a professional. Even if there was no plane tickets involved, I'm sure all of that was worked out in MARCH when Greg booked him.

I agree Ricky shouldve been worried about a "PLANE" ticket when he booked the show in March.I am driving three hours farther then MR..Rock N Roll...I doubt if his "Payday" in Tenn is that large..

Concerning the Fan Fest show being put on by Greg Price, This is my one and only response.

After two months of calling Greg about this show (after talking with him in March) and turning down several bookings for August 12, I finally booked myself last Saturday (August 8th) for a show in Madison, Indiana for this Saturday–August 12.

Greg Price saw fit to finally call me back this past Wednesday (August 9) not to apologize for not returning my calls but instead went on a childish tirade. After telling several people that he had purchased an airline ticket for me to attend this weekend's show, there is no proof any ticket was EVER purchased!

As a matter of fact, NO ticket was sent to me and to the best of my knowledge no ticket was ever purchased!

As for statements made on Greg’s website, anyone who knows me knows my children are my number one priority. Furthermore, the fans know when I am booked on a show I always appear!

I welcomed the opportunity to be at this show but was never even granted the courtesy of a return phone call from Price. It’s a shame I won’t get to meet my fans as well as see some old friends because of Price's actions.

I look forward to having the opportunity to meet and greet all the true Rock and Roll Express fans in the near future.

Well there are always 2 sides of a story. But I just don't believe Ricky's given Greg's track records of these events and also working with Ricky. I can't say it's not true as only Greg/Ricky know the real story but the bottom line is...this only disapoints the fans which is what nobody wants...

Well, you're right. I've always heard there's two sides to every story, and I must say that's crystal clear to me in this case.

if is was not for the fact that him and robert would be toghther and a few and i mean a few have not had the opp. to meet them trust me greg you are better off saving your money on him . you can see him wrestler anywhere now every flea market and wal- mart around the country seems like every indy promoter thinks they have to have him dont know why because i assure you his name on the card is not selling a ticket!! to cancel out the week of bad bus. srry rick!

I must say though, Robert Gibson made it all worth it. Great guy, funny as heck too.

My favorite Robert Gibson moment was when I was talking to him at the bar,and this guy comes up and asks him"what happened to your boy Ricky?" and Robert said:"I quit babysitting him a long long time ago!'

That about sums it up for poor ol' Ricky!
