Something about the Meadowlands show doesn't look right. Lex Luger in both a tag match and WarGames. That didn't happen, did it?

hated it. the greensboro crowd dwindled even faster after this. everybody knew JCP was dropping it's home for elsewhere. nobody liked it.

I guess the writing was on the wall in late 1987 that you had to be a national company to compete with Vince.

Well, at least someone at that time perceived that to be "the writing on the wall."

A good argument could be made that JCP would still be around had someone read "the writing on the wall" differently and the decision been made NOT to go national.

There was the merger of Mid Southern, AWA, and World Class in 1988 as well. I really lost a lot of faith in Jim Crockett Promotions - Mid-Atlantic - for merging with Georgia Championship Wrestling and then acquiring St. Louis, Central States, Florida, and UWF/Mid South.

Lex was not in that Meadowlands War Games, it was Big Bubba teaming with MX, Tully & Arn

Was the Greensboro show during the day? Also who was the Mighty Wilbur? I do not remember that guy...

greensboro was at night. after the live bouts, it went straight to the live close circuit feed from chicago.
the mighty wilbur went by the name of Incubus in florida before coming to MACW. that's all i know of him.
