Wish we could know in advance. You will know in advance, as soon as I know. But there's no sense in reporting "maybes" because it only leaves folks disappointed in the end.

I hope the vendors have some sense and bring in proper names for the show who fit the theme.
Greg if you didn't use people such as Samoans, Humperdink etc then I would expect a vendor to use them.
I don't expect a vendor to show up with Maven, Ivory, Keibler or Palmer Cannon! I am sure they are all very nice people but they have NO business being at a show which is about legends!

Just a couple thoughts here...
This is a legends show, but it is also a wrestling show. Not everyone has to be a legend (vendor or otherwise). I mean, wasn't Bret Hart the main guest at an NWA legends fanfest??? He was there because it was a wrestling show and wrestling fan in general wanted to meet him.
I am looking forward to meeting anyone comes...even people from before I started watching wrestling (Rocky Johnson). If it's Baby Doll and Rockin Robin....great. If it's Ivory, Molly Holly, and Tammy Sytch......super. If it's Bob Backlund...I can't wait. If it's Brad Armstrong......anyway you get the idea.
I say, the more the merrier...

No one ever bought a ticket for wrestling in Florida to see Humperdink and his House get their due?

What I am saying is you are attacking people like Keibler who are legends , granted I think the Divas are trash but fact is, Stacy because of "Dancing With The Stars" is a bigger household name than anyone even Baby Doll (tsk , tsk) and you might fire back with "well that ain't rasslin'" but Hogan in Rocky 3 got him noticed more by the general public. Humperdink drew in Florida , but everyone got behind Stacy in fact got tons of press and movie offers and Humperdink ended up in WWF with Bam Bam (shortlived) then in WCW with The Freebirds (short lived) so while we try to make people bigger deals than they ever were , no one cares about half that crap like The Mulkeys anyway. I can tell that this will be your first fanfest. -J\/\/

The guests on the official lineup are legends. I have no problem with related personalities appearing for vendors and I think it is a good thing. That way you can take it or leave it, but the choice is there. Molly and Ivory were both great. Stacy would be a great draw for any vendor.

Look , I shouldn't have taken the bait. Legends is a very debateable topic. I just look forward to having fun at my 4th fanfest...

Legends kind of is a touchy subject. Hogan , Rock , Austin are the top US draws in the last 20 years. So like it or not when the great book of wrestling is written people like Humperdink just are not major names. Now people may say that is terrible but come on you are attacking Molly Holly and Maven yet they have wrestled in major shows in major arenas that have broken box office records , Humperdink was blading and crap at The Cricket arena and never drew a dime... Golly jblcenafan , who pissed in your sorghum? I am extremely proud of my career, even if you choose to disparage me in this forum. One couldn't have had a 27+ year career in the business back in the day without having some redeeming qualities. Back then unlike today, you actually had to know how to work to be involved. None of the guys you mentioned will ever come close to as many years as I put in. To say I "never drew a dime" in the wrestling business is nothing short of laughable. Managers don't draw houses. Wrestlers draw houses. Put any of the guys you mentioned in a building alone and see what they draw. It is a package, in case you didn't know. The only times a manager was expected to draw money at a house show was when he was featured in the main event that night. I can assure you that the times I was expected to draw a house.....I did. You probably have some deep seated "little man complex" going on. You know, a little man in a big man's world? It was the sweat off of my (and my associates) brow that got the business to where you could choose JBL and Cena as part of your screen name today. I realize that by being in the public eye you are always fodder for the so-called "critics" like yourself. You remind me of a quote that I think really applies here: A CRITIC IS A MAN WHO CREATES NOTHING AND THEREBY FEELS QUALIFIED TO JUDGE THE WORK OF CREATIVE MEN. Robert A. Heinlein I think the shoe fits! Say hi to your Mom for me. Yours in Sports, SOH.

Tell em Hump! I too have 17 years involved in the biz. Some people believe what they see on TV today is wrestling. You and I both know it is not wrestling, but a "freak" show for lack of a better term. Long live " old school wrestling " ! I think your quote from Robert A. Heinlein hits the nail on the head!

Amen, Sir Oliver!!
Molly Holly & Maven etc that JBLCENAFAN mentions never drew a dime in their entire lives. The only reason they were a part of those big shows is because they were interchangeable undercard talent on cards topped with, yes, the biggest draws in history - Austin, Rock, Hogan etc - when wrestling was at the top of the drawing boom. Not to besmirch anyone's talents, and I'm sure that more people watched Raw in 2000-01 than watched Florida Championship in the 70's. The wrestling world during Sir Oliver's heyday was totally incomparable to the WWF/E which was simply the first and now only INTERNATIONAL wrestling promotion. Anything presented on Vince's TV is by default seen by millions of viewers, regardless of whether it is any good (most of it is not - have you seen Smackdown recently?) - the reason is that WWE has a 'branding', market niche and cultural visability/placement totally incomparable with any other wrestling company, or the regional territories of the 70's and 80's. Further during Hump's stint's in the WWF and WCW, he was never involved in top main angles like he was in Florida etc. At a time when you had to talk, bleed and entertain people into the building Sir Oliver could do it with the best of them!!
And if you think these LEGENDS wouldn't be over if at the height of their talents today on WWE TV then you are wrong!! These FANFESTS are aimed at people into the territorial legends of the 70's and 80's (most of whom would otherwise not get their due, and us fans would not get an outlet to interact with these legends) and any legitimate legends who did worthwhile stuff that we respect. Sir Oliver fits into that category, and he paid his dues and entertained us for many years with his blood, sweat & wit. Maven & Molly etc - whilst I'm sure they are hard working people, just haven't proven themselves to have that level of talent. In the future I hope they get a place to prove themselves, but at the moment they have not, and IMO are just forgettable bit players from a few years ago, whereas the House Of Humperdink is what BUILT THIS BUSINESS!!

What I am saying is you are attacking people like Keibler who are legends NO offense, but Stacey is not now...nor will ever be a "Legend" in wrestling. Neither is: Maven/JBL/Molly Holly/Cena or 95% of the CURRENT stars today. As for HUMP, you sure he "didn't draw a dime" when he was managing the likes of: Bigelow/The SST and the list goes on? The man is a dear friend, a class act, and one helluva nice guy. Not to mention one of the best MGR's in the sport, ever!!!! Next thing you're going to try to say is that "PLayboy" Gary Hart "didn't draw a dime anwhere" either? You mean to tell me that when Bigelow(mgd. by Hump), was in NWA/WCW going for the US strap, they didn't draw a dime then? The man's main evented all over the world. What you see now on TV, thanks to VKM is not "wrestling" it's called :GARBAGE!!!! I'd put your boys: JBL/Cena/Maven against ANY old school guys and your boys would get their asses handed to them. Just my 2 cents.
