The Doubletree Hotel & Executive Meeting Center is the host hotel for next year's Capitol Wrestling Legends Fanfest. The hotel is offering a special room rate of $89 per night for fanfest attendees. This is a tremendous savings off the regular rate of $279 per night, so please book your room in advance.

The discounted rate is available Tuesday night, August 8 through Tuesday night, August 15 -- so if you want to come early or stay late, you may still book at the special rate. This will make a great summer vacation!

Make reservations online at www.Doubletree.com. Use the "Group/Convention Code" LEF in order to receive the special rate.

You may also make reservations by phone by calling 1-800-222-TREE, or call the hotel directly at 301-468-1100. When calling, make sure to tell them you're a part of the "Legends Fanfest" group in order to receive the special rate.

That's an issue that I'm working to resolve with the hotel. My hotel contact is on vacation until 9/12, but it should be resolved soon thereafter. I'll keep you posted.

i just tried reserving a room with 2 beds and got the message , "there are NO rooms with 2 beds available.

Presently, you may book Thursday, August 10 through Monday, August 14 and get the group rate.

The Doubletree folks are working to resolve the issue with the expanded dates, so you'll be able to book 2 days before and 2 days after and still get the same rate.

Greg, I attempted to register under the LEF promotional code and it didn't take. I'll call the hotel and register over the phone; just wanted to pass it along to you that it didn't seem to work online.

There has been a delay with the hotel in resolving this issue.

Part of the problem is that I dealt with one sales manager back in April when I booked next year's fanfest but, since then, he's moved on and I'm dealing with a new sales manager that's trying to catch up.

I hope that by the end of this week there will be no more issues booking rooms. I apologize for the inconvenience. Please keep me updated on your situation, and I'll post here once I'm sure the hotel issue has been resolved.

I'm set for the 11th through the 14th. I think part of the problem, from talking with the woman that booked my room, is that they had rooms available at the discounted rate for SOME of the days I was asking for but not all of them. So I just made my stay a day or two shorter to fix the problem.

I know the Wednesday and Thursday prior had some issues, but just today, they updated their reservations system (finally!!!) so there should be no problem now in getting the discount rate for Tuesday, August 8 through checkout on Monday, August 14.

(There is still an issue regarding the discounted rate being available the Monday and Tuesday night following, but that should be adjusted soon so the rate will also be available on those nights.)

I phoned in our reservation today, and it went smooth and I got the discount. We're checking in on Thursday and checking out on Monday.
