To alleviate some of the confusion with the name, I've decided to change the name of next year's fanfest weekend to:
The Capital Area Wrestling Legends Fanfest
The Baltimore/Washington, DC area has a rich history, including both the WWWF and NWA promotions. I look forward to next year's event including many of the great legends from both groups.
Please make plans now to be with us for 3 HUGE DAYS celebrating wrestling tradition in our nation's capital!
Capital Area Wrestling Legends Fanfest Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 11-13, 2006 Doubletree Hotel & Executive Meeting Center; Rockville, Maryland
The Doubletree Hotel & Executive Meeting Center is the host hotel for the Capital Area Wrestling Legends Fanfest. The hotel is offering a special room rate of $89 per night for fanfest attendees. More hotel info available will be available soon! This will make a great summer vacation!
Just minutes from Washington, DC, the Doubletree Hotel & Executive Meeting Center enjoys equal convenience to three gateway airports -- Reagan National, Dulles International and Baltimore-Washington International -- providing exceptional scheduling flexibility and competitive fares on all major airlines. Rockville Pike offers an abundance of restaurants and shops within walking distance and the adjacent Twinbrook Metro Station makes trips to the world-class attractions of our nation's capitol quick and easy, so why not make it a summer vacation and take in a little bit of everything?

Greg,
I still say that raising the price of VIP tickets wouldn't be a bad idea. Maybe $125? I'd be more than willing to pay that much for all that's included with the ticket! What does everybody else think???

I hope that the FanFest will focus on the Baltimore cards. There were some great shows held there in the 80's. Bob Roop and Ron Garvin appeared there frequently. Hint. Hint.

$125 vs. $99 is not that much of an increase. I'd rather see the VIP price increase a little bit than the price for photos, etc.

Bruno, if you were a VIP at the last show, then you got an "Early Bird" email telling you how to order your tickets before they go on sale Oct 1st.

You'd have to ask Greg about that. I just know that I did NOT want to be #135 again in the VIP line next year! Not sure what number I am just yet, but I am expecting the email from Greg telling me my # any minute now... Maybe someplace in the top 20???

damn..then it's gonna really suck for those of us newbies that kinda get screwed because we weren't able to attend the previous one!has to be a fairer way..i mean drawing new fans to this event should also be a priority! lokks like we're gonna get burned on this a bit..but i'll still go since i prob won't have the opportunity to attend another one

Well, I did my time last year... Didn't order til like April, and was #135 in line.
I dunno. I'm not sure how many other people grabbed their credit card the minute they got the "early bird" email... It's only a few weeks away.

I think it's only fair that the loyal Fanfest attendees get the first shot. Look at all the money that I spent on 4 hotels, tickets for my wife & me, food, gas, dvds, pictures and autographs at the first 4 Fanfests. I'm thankful that Greg appreciates us for coming and supporting him.
