I don't think there are many guys that ever worked the Carolinas territory that we haven't spoken too over the course of the past couple years and putting these fanfests together.
Keep in mind that there are various reasons why a talent may not have been at fanfest yet, and some that may never be. Each has his own reasons, and I don't feel it would be proper on my part to discuss those reasons publicly.
Some are impossible to reach, some don't return phone calls, some want too much money, some are already booked, some have physical or medical issues that prevent them from travelling, and some just aren't interested.......There's a wide range of reasons.
But as long as fans will continue to keep supporting our events -- and that is they key -- we will continue to do them and, hopefully, will be able to bring most of our wrestling heroes in at some point.
I'm very happy with the new faces we'll be having this time around and hope you're happy with the new additions as well.
Thanks,
Greg

I agree, the new names are really exciting me. I'm especially happy to see Terry Funk on the list. I couldn't make it to Lenoir and Gaffney is a little far. Funk was on my short list of who I really would like to see at least once.
Stan Hansen wasn't even on my short list, didn't think he would even get asked, let alone show up.
Greg, you are doing a great job once again.

Meltzer put this on his site about BW --Barry Windham is looking at going back and doing indie shows. He can be booked through agent Tony Hunter at legendsbooking@yahoo.com I'm not alone in wanting BW to be at Fanfest

Hmmmmm.........
Tony Hunter is handling bookings for Barry Windham. Tony Hunter is running a "Fanfest" type event the SAME WEEKEND as Charlotte in Spartanburg.
I dont know how GP and Tony get along, but I'll go out on a limb and say Windham will be in Spartanburg Saturday and could very easily be in Charlotte on Sunday.
Of couse, there could be a hell of a lot of animosity by GP thinking Tony was taking advantage of the type pf atmosphere GO has brought and trying to ride his coattails by doing a show an hour up the road on the same weekend, thus saving a hell of a lot on travel expenses.
As usual, just me typing.

Tony Hunter's show in Spartanburg is on November 19. Greg's show is in August so I do not believe there will be any problems here. If Barry is ready to get out there again then I am sure Greg would love to have him at Fanfest if all works out like he wants. Either way this is going to be a fantastic event that Greg is putting on. Many kudos to him!

Interesting though that Greg has an e-mail addy of legendsbookings@yahoo.com and Tony has one of legendsbooking@yahoo.com (No s). Is this a mistake on one or are they the same, etc.? Hmmmmm.

Well, when this messageboard upgraded servers a few weeks back, it required a non-AOL email address for me to login and re-activate my account. (Many of you experienced the same issue with AOL.) The only non-AOL account I have is the Yahoo account I've had for some time and, you're right, it is similar to Tony's but definitely not the same.

OK, thanks. That's just weird and so similar. I don't have AOL, and I have no desire to get it, if you know what I mean.

The people who aren't signed yet, whom I most want are
Barry Windham The Fantastics Animal Jim Cornette (though I know he can't because of OVW) Missy Hyatt Mick Foley
Secondarily, I'd like to see: Tim Horner Dutch Mantell Tommy Rich (I know, I know) Buddy Landell (I know, I know) Scott, Steve, Bob Armstrong Jimmy Garvin Michael Hayes Tom Zenk "Dirty White Boy" Tony Anthony (I know he only briefly was in MACW, but I've always been a fan of his and would like to see him)

Yeah - I'll go double (triple even) on wanting some Freebird action. I'd particularly like to see Jimmy Garvin. I'm travelling 3,000 miles for this thing! It would make my year if Jimmy Garvin was there (although Rich & Landell would be tres interesting, just for train wreck value)....
