That is correct dogthuhoops2k.George Becker is not on the Mid-Atlantic tapes. The oldest piece of film on those tapes would have been shot in late 1971 or early 1972 after George Becker left Jim Crockett Promotions.
Some ebay sellers list dates for the matches on those tapes. The Johnny Weaver/George Becker vs. Rip Hawk /Swede Hanson match is listed as being from 1969. It is Johnny Weaver/Art Nelson vs. Hawk/Hanson from Dec.1972.
If I ever find any footage of George Becker wrestling,I will share it with you and all fans of Mid-Atlantic wrestling.

I would love to see some George Becker footage as well from the 1960s.

"Becker also had a stint at the end of his career with a short-lived promotion that he formed with Tony Olivas and Mike Gallagher following a falling out with Crockett."
What caused the fallout between Becker and Crockett in late 1971?

Were the Becker Brothers ever on TV? Was local TV wrestling even on then? Also, I have never seen a newspaper clipping with the Becker Brothers. Has anyone got one they can post? I also was disappointed to buy the tape with Becker/Weaver only to see that it was actually Art Nelson. I wonder if the Beckers were ever on those shows from Chicago they used to show on ESPN. Is there any chance Johnny Weaver has any old tapes or films?

I have not been able to find any documentation where either George Becker or Jim Crockett Sr. said there was a fallout. All I have found is George Becker saying he wanted to slow down in order to spend more time with his wife and two year old son.
As for the Becker Bros.appearing on tv,here is a paragraph from George Becker's life story as told to Gene Gordon. The timeframe would have been the early fifties:
"- the TV tapes from the California matches were being shown all over the country. The tapes were shown in the Carolinas and Virginia on Saturday nights, sponsored by the American Hardware and Equipment Company. The demand for the Becker brothers began to grow in these areas, and finally,Bill Lewis, the late promoter from Richmond,Virginia, got the famous Becker brothers to leave California and come to the South."
This is just my guess but these "tapes" mentioned may actually have been 16mm film during that timeframe. If that were the case there could possibly be some film footage out there of the Becker brothers. I certainly hope so.
Also something I just found out recently is that during the early to mid- fifties, channel 26 out of Winston-Salem was a Dumont network affliate which aired one of the wrestling shows which was shown nationally. The channel went off the air about a year or maybe a little less before Jim Crockett Sr. debuted the WBTV Charlotte show in Jan.1958.The call letters of the station back then was WTOB which is also an AM radio station.
Of course channel 26 has been back in business for many years now as a UNC PBS station WUNL.
