To answer one of the the original questions posed in this thread, Woods and Bravo most certainly must have worn the original belts that Ole and Gene last held. I don't have a photo of them with them, but Roberts and Brown wore those belts, and we have a photo, when they defeated Woods and Bravo.
When the Andersons won the NWA world tag titles "in California" in 1975, and brought the belts to the Mid-Atlantic territory, Ole said in a TV interview he threw the Mid-Atlantic tag belts in a dumpster in Charlotte. Many of you may have heard George South tell the story when as a kid he believed Ole had done this, and went around looking in dumpsters for them. (Oh ,how I miss the days when we all believed!)
