Anyone know what Don Kernodle is up to these days? I heard he was in the Burlington area in the banking industry. Anyone have any idea?

Don is in Burlington, NC and I believe works with the Alamance Co. Sheriff's Dept. He still wrestles 3-4 times per year with CWF Mid Atlantic out of Burlington. In fact, he is wrestling this Saturday at the Fairchild Recreation Center in Burlington for CWF Mid Atlantic with a 7:30 p.m. belltime.  |

my suitemate from college freshman year was from burlington and his folks ran the camera corner stores and he said kernodle lived out there somewhere. kernodle was on his way out when i became old enough to follow wrestling.

was don the one that use to do like a sitting cannonball for a finish off the toprope. if not help me figure out who that was. i am thinking it was him though.

this would have been in the 80's. the guy wasn't a main eventer or a big guy but more like a mid carder. i dont tkink it was stevens. is there a pic of don somewhere. seriously we have have this discussion on the road about the "sitting cannon ball" splash and no one can come up with a name. the guy was a face though and his trinks had blue in them. i do remember that.

it was don! i saw his pic today and use to jump off the top rope and "sit" on his opponent. i cant remember the name of that move though.

That's interesting. I know that Stevens used it and it called it the Bombs Away. Bill Dundee also used to use it.

kernodle has gained weight, seen him at last years fanfest, very, very, nice man and super friendly with the fans.he's best know as slaughters privates, along with private nelson they drew a LOT of heat.

does anybody remeber don and keiths video from americas funniest home movies,it was around 90 they had some little sausage dog giving it a bath and it snarlling at them,was pretty funny
