I was listening to a Ric Flair interview he did in 1976 for a cage match in Richmond. This was a classic interview to say the least. At the beginning, he mentioned the names Jimmy Crockett, Jim Crockett promotions, and Jack Adkinsson (aka Fritz Von Erich), and the NWA.
Why would he have mentioned Jack Adkinsson's name? Was he the head of the NWA at that time? I thought Eddie Graham was then. Maybe a slip of the tongue on his part due to heavy traveling?
Just wondering!

I believe Fritz(Adkisson) was still NWA President during the first half of 1976 and then Eddie Graham became the new President at the NWA annual meeting.

CWH47,
Thanks for the info! That would make an interesting list; all of the NWA presidents from such and such date to current.

I always found it odd that as long as Fritz held high office in the NWA that it took him until 1984 to get one of his sons or anyone from WCCW a title run, and a short lived one at that.
