You know....I think Yates' just proved Nietzsche wrong....I think university professors have been trying to equate ABBA with Ric Flair for years, but scientific tests and social studies make it theoretically improbable for appropriate context to be found. The space-time continuum might very well collapse....
Yep - with KISS its always 'Rock n 'Roll All Nite''....even ''I Want You'' or ''Come on & love Me'' or ''Mr Speed'' or ''Love Gun'' or ''Sure Know Something'' would make all the difference, but its always gotta be ''Rock 'n' Roll....' or ''Deuce'' (although admittedly I don't mind the latter so much). Not sure about ''Shandy'' though....
Speaking of KISS & DVD's - I believe that KISS Anthology vol1 DVD comes out tomorrow, with tons of early live footage....I don't think I can resist the Kiss Army marketing machine on this one!!

hey maestro....i guess we did type the same thing at the same time. how cool is that?? yep, i was sorta comparign the two. i was actually comparing the flair bouts with the songs as how often we see him against those opponents as we here those particluar songs on the radio. and i also....i just preordered my KISSology dvd set last night on an internet site. of those 50 i think folks need to hear... Charisma (my favourite song by KISS) dirty livin' rock bottom beth (eric carr's version) strutter deuce (i love that one) nothin' to lose rocket ride 2000 man (and as much as i am not a rolling stones fan......i love this song)

Cold Gin Parasite Watchin You Let Me Go Rock and Roll God Of Thunder and of course the quintessential "Your The Kind Of Sugar Poppa Likes" from the Peter Criss solo album.......LOL.
But in comparison to our wrestling discussion, for me getting things like the concerts from Winterland Ballroom in '75 and Budokan in '77, and with the lineup for the other sets forthcoming, is like getting a complete and unedited Starrcade box set.
As far as the continuting discussion as it related to the Horseman DVD and what will be/ should be on there, I'm simply not getting my hopes up.....I'll believe it when I see it.

What'll be on it won;t be that hard to figure out.
You'll probably see:
Flair and The Andersons breaking Dusty's leg when he came to Flair's rescue in the cage vs The Russians.
Tully firing Baby Doll and hooking up with JJ
The interview where Arn dubbed them the Four Horsemen.
The breaking of Dusty's Arm in the Parking Lot.
Lugar introduced.
Ole getting Kicked Out
Lugar becoming a full member
Lugar getting kicked out.
Windham turning on Lugar and joining the Horsemen
A retrospective of the Brainbusters leaving and The Horsemen spliting up.
Arn and Ole returning to save Flair vs. J Tex. Probably hear from Tully about how he was supposed to join.
Probably won't spend much time on this era or the one with Paul Roma. I can see them then jumping to the Arn-Flair feud that lead to The Horsemen being reformed with Benoit and Pillman.
Pillman leaving. Mongo joining
the Horsemen vs nWo
The Hennig deal, including the War Games.
Flair disbands The Horsemen.
Malenko and Benoit try to getArn to reform the Horsemen.
The Night in Greenville where The Horsemen reunite.
Probably end it with Flair beating Bischoff in that hair match.

This will be a must buy for me even though I have most of the stuff in decent quality. I wish they'd have a chronology with the angles, interviews, and follow the storyline build-up then have a full match from the end of the storyline. Hopefully it won't go too much into the later era of Roma and Mongo. I'd love to have the old JCP Horsemen stuff in the best available quality.

I think it's the only album since Creatures of the Night that IS KISS. Unholy Domino I Just Wanna Let Me Know 100000 Years Goin' Blind Hotter Than Hell Rock Bottom I Want You See You Tonite (Gene solo) New York Groove (Ace solo) Creatures Of The Night War Machine Forever Within Those are 15 songs that you never hear on the radio, and you would never hear unless you're a fan. I want people to hear some of those songs when they come up to me...

well - this great stuff from all you fellow Kiss aficionados. I totally concur with the Creatures Of The Night/REVENGE analogy. One of my favourite periods of KISS was the early Eric Carr years, epitomized by Creatures. And yeah - whilst I do like some of KISS' 80's non-make-up output (particularly the Stanley-penned powerballads that were pretty much their commercial calling-card during this period) records like Animalize/Asylum/Crazy Nights and even, to an extent, Hot In The Shade sound generally like a band to whom recording records is not the main part of their operations. Although I love 'Heaven's On Fire''....
Unfortunately REVENGE's return to form wasn't capitalized on creatively, and was for all intents and purposes the end of KISS as a creative entity....I don't acknowledge the existence of 'PSYCHO CIRCUS'.....

This is HILARIOUS - KISS interview from 1979 on the Tommorrow Show w/ Tom Snyder. Ace & Peter are beyond drunk, and Ace in particular is having the time of his life. You kind of feel sorry for Gene & Paul because everything they'd worked for is exploding in front of their eyes, and they are visably pissed off / trying to keep it together....but nonetheless this stuff is just too good....bass & trout fishing? Hilarious www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jzve-Tmd70 (there is a link to part two in the 'Related videos' box)

The best wat to describe it is you cannot buy the Hulk Still Rules DVD , so the only way to get the stuff is buying the new DVD.
