Isn't it interesting how Jimmy Valiant went through programs with one manager after another?
The House of Humperdink was full of monster heels. Jimmy Valiant went through them one by one - Ivan Koloff, Jos LeDuc, and then One Man Gang. Who could forget when LeDuc bashed Valiant's "boom box" against the ring post? Valiant cried like his first born had been killed in a car wreck.
From there Valiant went into a feud with Gary Hart and Kabuki. After Valiant got burned by fire and then lost a Loser Leaves Town match, he got his revenge with the Charlie Brown from out of town angle - culminating at Starrcade '83.
It was only a few weeks later that the feud started with Paul Jones and didn't end for three long, bloody years. It was during this time that Valiant and Ronnie Garvin had a little angle with Cornette and the Midnights as well.

The feud with the Paul Jones Army was kind of funny because it never seemed to end.

Jimmy Holiday was good but didnt get a chance to prove himself because of JJ and Hump there too. Holiday got more time in Fla. and proved it. Also with Watts he was with Hart as H & H International but Hart was a backstabber.

Jimmy Holiday was great on the mike but never got a chance to prove it because Ole hated the Jap wrestlers and Holiday managed Mr. Pogo and One Man Gang... he did good in Fla managing the Zambuie Express ( Ray Candy and Leroy Brown ) to main event status against Dusty and BlackJack...plus Hector Guerrero whose brother Eddie just passed away! RIP EDDIE!

I always liked Gorgeous George Jr. Don't think that he was in Mid-Atlantic though. If so it was before I started getting JCP.

Cornette- anyone who was that brutal to David "Lookit 'im" Crockett AND hyped his team at the same time has to be the best. Gary Hart was good, but sometimes sounded a little like Grady from 'Sanford and Son.' Paul Jones always did well with his band of misfits, but he cracked me up talking about the 'Warlord and the Ballbaron" as his tag team. Great site, btw!!!!

My favorite Mid-Atlantic manager was Jim Cornette. A close runner-up is Gary Hart. Both men were very good with the mic.
