WWE announced this morning that the legendary Pat Patterson underwent emergency heart surgery on Sunday night to remove a cyst from his main artery and is currently in critical, but stable, condition after a four hour surgery.
Patterson underwent emergency surgery after not feeling well. His sister convinced him to go to the hospital, at which point a large cyst was found on his heart.
Patterson, considered to have one of the greatest booking minds of all time, was the first Intercontinental champion and created the Royal Rumble match that has become an annual WWE staple.
