as long as alan scott is part of the group, it can't be too bad. Pretty decent group of SH's. However Bobby, I have to disagree. Alan Scott was my least favorite as a GL. I would've rather had ION(Kyle Raynor). Is that Dr fate? Whos' the see through guy? Is that the Spectre?(guy with hood and red striped arm bands) Jimmy/Bobby: There will be 3 covers total for this book, and i believe release date is Aug. 16th? 1st cover; Green Lantern/Arrow 2nd Cover: Batman/Superman 3rd cover" (dont know if this will be included with the other 2 or later on?) A Variant cover-no info was given for that.

Below him is Wildcat, sitting at the head of the table is Hawkman. Now going clockwise Dr Midnite, Alan Scott, Hourman II (Rick Tyler), Liberty Belle (Who could be Jesse QuickThe daughter of Johnny Wuick and the original Liberty Belle), Commander Steele, also know as Steel the Industructable man (Now both Commander Steele's are dead so who this one is is a question), the girl sitting on the table is Stargirl, then a starry guy is a new Starman, the Power Girl, Jakeem Thunder, a new Sandman (who may or may not be Sand), Mr. Terrific, the glowy guy in a blue mask is not Atom Smasher as many believe but Damage in a new costume more like the one his dad wore. The the Flash Jay Garrick, and the red haired girl is Maxine Hunkel, granddaughter of the Golden Age Red Tornado Ma Hunkle. Plus this isn't the whole team as Geoff Johns the writer has said that two or three more surprise members are waiting in the wings. Saw this on another board, thought you might enjoy the look back: Click on the thumbnails for bigger pics. 1940:1976:1981:1992:1999:

I remember reading "Crisis on earth- one" & "Crisis on earth two" Many moons ago... Those stories are among the best I've ever read. I don't follow the new comics much, but that is some beautiful artwork of the JSA. Thanks, Jimmy Kimmel.

to me, the CRISIS on INFINITE EARTHS is the greatest story ever told...well, in comics.

Hmm...(Don't hit me), I don't have that series, but I think I can trust your tastes. Especially after a recommendation like that!

well, ya gotta see my viewpoint..i think i am a minority on this..i LOVED the multiple earths concept that has been around for decades. then in '85 when the series began, the different earths were destroyed. all that, and with all the differing heroes and villains combined to tell a story of thier survival or their death. i have never seen any scene in a comic that was so emotional as the moment in issue #7 where supergirl died in her cousin superman's arms. his anger was driving him, our SUPERMAN, to kill the anti-moniter in revenge for her death, while the superman of earth-2 tried to bring him to his senses and calm him down. there are a few graphic novels and such of the series. i advise any comic fan to read it if you never have before. and if you are a new fan, it can help explain how the DCUniverse came to be what it is now..and what it is changing to. also read CAMELOT 3000. another 12 issue series from the mid'80's. great story with even better art by brian bolland.

According to DC, they have a new "justice " #1 being released on Aug 16th. Do you mean THIS Decmeber? if so, I will definately pick that up.

I've been a Brian Bolland mark since the Judge Dredd days - even his artwork in the old ads for Forbidden Planet (the store) in the old Overstreet price guides("People like us shop at..")! John Bolton is another talented Brit...

Jeff,
After what was revealed to have happened in Identity Crisis, the JLA Book was canceled and the JLA disbanded. The reason for it was so they could relaunch it, as the rebraded Justice League of America, issue 0 of that book was just release, issue #1 comes out in August.
Now when JLA was canceled and rebranded DC felt it needed to do the same to its brother book, JSA. So they canceled JSA and plan on relaunching it, rebranded as Justice Society of America. Honestly if you can I recommend picking up both.
