Maybe when the wrestlers switch to the religious shtick it is a way of reviving a waning career. The way I see it HBK's career is anything but waning. Now that being said maybe its like the dieing man calling out to God with his last breath so that he doesn't go to hell. I don't approve of someone using God as a wrestling card and I don't think he would take to kindly to it either. One thing Vince should consider is a statement Jesus made to the rich man it is easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle than for the rich man to get into heaven.

If God turns out to be a full bodied wrestler, it will be Batista making a comeback, all jacked up on sterroids.

Of course we can say HBK answers to Vince and has no choice but a big star like Shawn isn't exactly a broke opening match jobber wrestling for $20 - he can stand for his principals. Also, I really don't think under the circumstances that someone like HBK would get too much heat for not wanting to do this angle. So he has no excuses. There are a couple of possibilities: (a) Shawn really doesn't see a moral problem with doing this, under the rational that its a fictional tv show or just entertainment etc or (b) Shawn is full of crap. Well, GarvinStomp - I totally agree with you. I think Shawn is a big phoney like so many other people in the public eye who claim to be Christians. He probably REALLY believes it himself, but its just a tool for the ego, to have total righteousness in the public eye....
And YES - he did do the DX crotch chop at Mania....

guys we sit back and "judge" as adults but what if shawns angle is what brings some kids to know the Lord? he is very popular with the kids at my school and some of them talk about him praising God. they may outway what you and i think about his motives. i will say this too, michaels has been praising the Lord on there since he returned and even when they made him wrestle Hogan he got on his knees before going out. I cant see that being a gimmick. also, imperfect people cruscified the only perfect person. now some of these guys i see every weekend are the worst-they get accused of stealing, rippin people off(and some of it is true), being drunk & high and then go and actually stand in the ring and preach and call themselves legends.

God can use anything to his benefit, but that does not mean that Shawn should exploit God and his name. After all we are commanded not to take the Lord God's name in vain. Lets face it even the crucification of Christ was used to the glory of God. I am sure that the people looking up at Christ that day and watching his passing wondered how that would benefit anyone. Little did they know that three days later they would have their answer. So were the ones who staked Jesus to the cross right in what they did? Don't think so could you imagine having to answer to God for that one?

If you want to call Jesus the middle man then thats up to you. You do have to go through Jesus to get to the father so I guess that does put him in the middle.

I agree with World Wide William. Last night was more than likely it for me. Vince went way over the line. That was blasphemous and he mocked God and threw his disrespect right in God's face. We all really need to pray for Vince McMahon.
