Thanks to everyone that came out to support our Thanksgiving weekend Starrcade Tribute.
I may have messed up on the timing of the event, but those of us that were there will treasure forever the memories from that very special weekend.
Thanks again to all of the loyal Mid-Atlantic faithful!

Yes, we had a great time and look forward to the next Fanfest in Charlotte. Is there any chance of seeing Buddy Landel back? He was awesome at the first one!

Yeah, that was a rough weekend to get a reasonably priced flight to Charlotte, and I regret not being able to make it down. But I am so looking forward to Atlanta in April. I can't wait!

I had a blast at the Super Bowl Weekend Fanfest as well as the Starcade Tribute and can't wait for next year's fanfest. I would have to agree with Loony on bringing back Buddy Landell he made my day at the first fanfest and I was disappointed he wasn't at the Starcade Tribute.

Greg, thank you for the fanfests. I attended all three and plan to be at any you may have in the future. Just meeting my all-time favorite, Mr. Wrestling 2, was worth ten times the VIP cost. And he was only one of many of my favorites. Truly an awesome experience. Thanks again and Merry Christmas to all.

I went to a show in Salem Va in June 2001 and met Wahoo before he died, Ivan Koloff and Rickey Steamboat. I had already met Jimmy Valiant and Ricky Morton. Masked Superstar wrestled but did not sign autographs. I had a good time and this was before "legends" shows really became popular. My question is what made FanFest so special?

my opinion from my attraction...like you, i had already met so many of the boys from different experiences. some at house shows. but mainly the first WCW SLAMBOREE PPV meet and greet session the day before. but whether i had met these guys before or not, to see them again, and to be able to talk with who i might could at any length (like you really don't at house shows as they are trying to get away) made moments like that great. the Q & A's had there moments. how many of those have we had a chance to be a part of? that's a great experience. the other thing that made it so great to me was the people. i had been on the KM board almost 18 months. and a few other boards too. in that time, there were quite a few people i got a great "internet relationship" with. the fanfest shows has allowed me to meet so many of these people that i bet, i would never had met many of, if any, and now i have a real personal friendship with. and a friend from georgia was there and we hadn't seen each other in well over 3 years and that got us together for the weekend. as far as i am concerned, all that together, you can't beat it. great times, great expereiences, and great wrestlers to meet that gave us all a commen bond.

Hi, everyone. I attended the Fayetteville Fanfest in August, and despite the cancellations due to the terible weather, had a great time. What happened with Buddy Landel at the Charlotte show? One guy I met in Fayetteville told me that Buddy had gotten into an argument with Magnum TA, and was asked to leave. Just curious, as we all want to know the real stories behind our childhood heroes)and villains). Fayetteville was a great show, does anyone know when the DVD will be ready for purchase?

I guess Buddy spent a little too much time in the hotel bar before his time on the Autograph Stage. He was vulgar and obnoxious to many people -- especially women -- and after ignoring several warnings to clean it up, he was asked to leave the stage.
Had nothing to do with Magnum except that Magnum was seated next to him on the Autograph Stage.

I agree with bobby. It was great meeting guys like Bobby, NatureBoy14, ewatimekeeper, bluedevil (where has he been lately?) and many others. I'm glad I got the chance.

i don't think bluedevil71 has gotten on this board yet. got an email from him the other day. computer problems, work, kids, holiday, and something else (i am not mentioning) has made him busy.
