Taking a poll to see who be interested in a fanfest type show in Greensboro NC with the stars of NWA in the 80's.Thought it be intersted in having a fanfest in Greensboro since wrestling and Starrcade was done there alot.It might bring back memories of NWA in Greensboro back.Lets see who be interested in a fanfest in Greensboro.Taking a poll.

Absolutely. I live just on the VA side of the VA/NC border. I have been to all of Greg's fanfests, and I know at least 10 people who have seen my photos and stuff and said "I wish something like that would come near here". These people used to go to Greensboro and Roanoke all the time to matches suring the JCP era, but for some reason won't do the Charlotte trip, mainly bcause it is far enough away to require hotel expenses. I fully understand Greg trying a new location with DC/MD but even as big a die-hard as I am that trip is definitely a concern to me, but I just hate the DC area in general.

I would be all over it. I am about like stylin, I hate the trip to D.C. myself. Hell, I hate D.C. lol. I have several friends that have asked me why at least one of the fanfests haven't been in Greensboro and I don't know. I would have thought one would have been there since Greensboro was so huge back in the day. I actually really like the Greensboro area. I am more familiar with it than Charlotte and closer, which is a plus. The area I live in here in Va, we don't get much of anything like this so something closer is always a plus. So yes, I would love it.

uh..guys..Rockville,Md is nothing like DC! So before taking a crap all over the fanfest that's gonna be held in Rockville...get your geography straight!! just busting balls but i think its a great idea having it here..not all wrestling took place in the carolinas..but i too would have thought that one woulda been done in Greensboro by now!! But anyway...lets give the Rockville show a chance before ya want to bury the decision to hold it here!

i'd go regardless of where it was at, if i could. i missed the fayetteville fanfest because i just couldn't afford to do but so much at that time. i have been to all three in charlotte and will be in rockville.
i live about 23 miles from the greensboro coliseum. but i would stay at the host hotel just to pal around with everybody. that's me. i wouldn't want to miss anything.
but i would be there if at all possible.

I wasn't taking a crap all over the next fanfest and I have my geography straight. I just said I hated D.C. Nothing against Rockville or Maryland. I am sure there are tons of people in that area who will enjoy it very much. I was just agreeing with stylin. I am not trying to offend anyone. I also wasn't trying to bury the decision to hold the next fanfest in Rockville. I was responding to the question this thread is all about, holding a fanfest type event in Greensboro, which I would love. I am sure the Rockville fanfest will be a success.

I didn't really mean to slight the DC area. I just personally have problems in the traffic there but I am just a hayseed. Going north this time is actually probably a good move by Greg.

I wouldn't mind if there was a Fanfest in Greensboro.. I was at last years FF in charlotte and I'm going to rocksville!1 but who knows maybe next year!!

It would be nice if one was in Greensboro.That would be closer to get to. With kids closer is easier.It would be great if one was in Roanoke, but perfect if one was in Lynchburg!

I am with those sentiments entirely. I suggested a Greensboro show on this board a few weeks ago, and I am only a few more miles south from the esteemed Mr. Yates. All of us Triad wrestling junkies could have a lot of fun, close to home. C'mon, Greg, give us some feedback !!!!
